There are countless animals in the amazon and probably the most recognizable animal is the toucan. There are about 40 types of toucan species. These animals live in tree holes of the rain forest and travel in small groups. The beak is very important because the bright colors attract a mate. They also use the sharp edges of their beak to tear off chunks of fruit. This is one talented bird.

THE RED-EYED TREE FROG IS ONE OF MANY UNLIKE SPECIES OF THE RAIN FOREST.

THE RED-EYED TREE FROG HAS YELLOW AND BLUE STRIPES ON IT'S SIDES AND STICKY ORANGE FEET AND BIG RED EYES TO SEE AT NIGHT.IT EATS FLIES, MOTHS, GRASSHOPPERS, CRICKETS, AND SMALL FROGS. IT'S USUALLY FOUND IN LARGE COMMUNITIES ALONGSIDE RIVERBANKS IN BRAZIL TO COSTA RICA.

THE OCELOT



THE OCELOT IS ONE OF THE FASCINATING ANIMALS OF THE RAIN FOREST.

IT 'S DIET CONSISTS OF MICE, RABBITS, RATS, BIRDS, SNAKES, LIZARDS, FISH, AND FROGS. THE OCELOT CAN BE FOUND FROM TEXAS TO ARGENTINA. IT HUNTS MOSTLY AT NIGHT AND SLEEPS IN THE BRUSH DURING THE DAY ( IT'S NOCTURNAL).

THE OCELOT'S TERRITORY RANGES FROM ONE TO FOUR Sq MILES.

THIS WILD CAT IS ONLY ONE OUT OF COUNTLESS ANIMALS THAT MAKE UP THE RAIN FOREST!
